Friday Random Ten: Hasty Publish Edition
You know what day it is! Time to put your digital music player on shuffle (iPod this week), click play, and list the first ten songs that show up. You must resist the temptation to click past the bad or embarrassing songs.
- “Here’s to the Night” (Eve 6)
- “Breaking the Girl” (Red Hot Chili Peppers)
- “Hunting Bears” (Radiohead)
- “Running from an Angel” (Hootie and the Blowfish)
- “Funky Céilí (Bridie’s Song)” (Black 47)
- “Don’t Ever Think (Too Much)” (the Zutons)
- “Grapefruit Diet” (Weird Al Yankovic)
- “Beg for Me” (Korn)
- “Shame on You” (Hot Hot Heat)
- “Personal Jesus” (Johnny Cash)
Most Favorite: “Personal Jesus” from Johnny Cash’s American IV: the Man Comes Around; this entire album is just beautiful and classic
Least Favorite: Eve 6’s “Here’s to the Night” from their 2000 release Horrorscope—while Eve 6 is one of my favorite bands, this song was just so overplayed when it came out, because every single senior class used it as their school’s graduation anthem, pft!
Seen Live: Red Hot Chili Peppers (2 Apr 2000, 3 May 2003), Weird Al Yankovic (13 Nov 1999)
Other FRTers: Coming later today!
