Friday Random Ten: Lazy Week Edition
You know what day it is! Time to put your digital music player on shuffle (Winamp at work this week), click play, and list the first ten songs that show up. You must resist the temptation to click past the bad or embarrassing songs.
- “Kitty” (the Presidents of the United States of America)
- “Satan Said Dance (Live)” (Clap Your Hands Say Yeah)
- “You Have Killed Me” (Morrissey)
- “Everything Zen” (Bush)
- “White Coats” (New Model Army)
- “Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm” (Crash Test Dummies)
- “Underground Mutant Prairie Dogs from Hell” (Uncle Monsterface)
- “Chocula (You’re Never Safe)” (Uncle Monsterface)
- “Name” (Goo Goo Dolls)
- “More Human than Human” (White Zombie)
Most Favorite: Uncle Monsterface’s “Underground Mutant Prairie Dogs from Hell” from their 2006 release letter green i love you—which I ordered last week, even though I’d already downloaded most of the tracks from their website
Least Favorite: “Satan Said Dance”, again with the live Clap Your Hands Say Yeah!
Seen Live: Clap Your Hands Say Yeah (7 March 2006), Uncle Monsterface (15 March 2006). I met Morrissey sometime in 1995 when K and I cut class to sneak down to South Street for a Tower Records appearance, but I’ve never seen him perform live. I’m thinking I also saw the Presidents, but can’t pin it down more than that. Must be phantom concert syndrome, haha.
Interesting Note: Two Uncle Monsterface songs in a row? This can’t be mere coincidence! I wonder if it’s a sign that my CD will arrive today?
